Mitch Evans also finished off a successful season by finishing third in the Drivers’ World Championship.
With the season approaching a thrilling climax, the final two races took place on home soil for Jaguar TCS Racing at the Hankook London E-Prix. During round 15, the team took the championship fight down to the wire. Evans raced to his fourth victory of the season, the first home victory for the team. With just one race remaining, Jaguar TCS Racing headed into round 16 equal on Teams’ World Championship points with Jaguar-powered Envision Racing. Evans, meanwhile, was sitting at second place in the drivers’ standings.
As the final race roared into life, Evans and Envision’s Nick Cassidy pulled clear of the field and battled it out over 30 gruelling laps. Cassidy secured the win ahead of Evans by a mere 4.9 second margin. It was an incredible effort by Evans, teammate Sam Bird, and the entire Jaguar TCS Racing Team to claim runners-up over a hard-fought season.
